Safe & Seen Halloween is a pedestrian education effort in the Bluegrass Region. It consists of  educational information for preschoolers and their parents, as well as a middle school video contest.  We also connect to local law enforcement who have used the materials during community Fall Harvest Festivals and Safety City events.

As a SAFE & SEEN pedestrian . . .

* I promise to use crosswalks and always be alert for motorists.

* I will not go between cars and will look both ways before crossing a street.

* I will wear something that will help me to be SAFE & SEEN.

Safe & Seen SONG

Don't be a speed bump!

Don't be a speed bump!

(Sung to "This Little Light of mine")

  On this little walk of mine,

I will be alert;

On this little walk of mine,

I will be alert;

On this little walk of mine,

I will be alert;

I will be alert for motorists!

On this little walk of mine,

I will shine;

On this little walk of mine

I will shine;

On this little walk of mine,

I will shine;

I will shine to be SAFE & SEEN.

Don't be a speed bump!

Don't be a speed bump!

Don't be a speed bump!

Working with a homeless shelter,

I Care KY was challenged to be creative in working with their community. It was recommend to "grab their attention" and to "get graphic," thus the "Don't be a speed bump" posters were created.
